Seventh Street

1. Even though it is likely that your opponents were drawing to beat you, what should you do on seventh street if you happened to have the best hand on sixth street ?
Ans : Usually bet anyway.

2. What is the exception ?
Ans : If you have a made low hand and are against a high hand and one or more opponents who were drawing to a better low.

3. What if you have the best low hand and are against other players with made low hands who are likely to pay off ?
Ans : Then, of course, you should bet or raise into them.

4. What if you have a high hand, there are low hands against you, and a split pot is certain (as long as one of the low hands hasn’t improved to a straight, a flush, or something better, and it is likely that one or more of these draws is out) ?
Ans : You should check and call.

5. What if you have a high hands and there are two or three players in the pot who look as though they will call with weaker high hands ?
Ans : You should lead on the end.

Ans : Bet your hand for value.

11. Can you bluff a high hand if it appears that there is a reasonable chance you are going low ?
Ans : No.

12. Are there situations where you should bet as a bluffing ?
Ans : Yes.

Ans : Suppose you have 7 6 4 3 J 10 2 and are against one opponent who shows ? ? 3 7 K Q ?. Notice that you are beat for high and also might be beat for low. Nevertheless, betting is correct.
